Spring forward

On March 14, 2023
Rusty said
"Hey! It's daylight savings
Tyler! We have to spring forward one hour!"
Tyler didn't know what
daylight saving was. But Rusty was happy so Tyler was happy,
too.
They stopped at the park to play as the sun grew large in
the west. Tyler found a
fallen tree branch. He set to work to break it down to dog
play size. Rusty watched in awe.
Tyler snapped off the upper thin branches to get his prize
mashed down to a thickness worthy of his powerful jaws.

"Arrrfff! branch is fun!"
Tyler thought to his dog
self. Rusty heard it snap and crack!

Clever dog! Tyler used his body weight in a twisting motion
to snap the branch.

The day was calm, quiet, peaceful
- really lovely. No wind; perfect temperature.
The shadows cast by the golden sun as it set grew longer. A
magical yellow light lit the trees of the park, in that
small town that looked like a Norman Rockwell picture.
Rusty thought it was another
wonderful spring day in California's Central Valley.
He felt like
he and Tyler were in Heaven.
