Intact dogs at a dog park...bad
idea...
|
|||
When my collies were attracted to this dog with a
nut sack
it was because dogs have a sense of smell
about 200 times what a human has. A dog that is "intact"
(not spayed or neutered) will give off a scent that other
dogs want to check out. Un-neutered or un-spayed dogs are
only for breeding; something that is not needed given the
huge excess dog population. Millions of dogs have to be
destroyed every year. That is NOT an exaggeration. It is
estimated to be 2 to 3 million put to death. So why are you
breeding more dogs? Spay and neuter is essential to control
dog populations to ensure their are enough loving homes for
the ones already here.
But bringing an intact dog to a dog park is crazy! Many parks prohibit it. This lady kicked my dogs to keep them away, then carried her dog. If you have to keep your dog on a leash, and don't want it to meet other dogs - then why take it to an off leash dog park? Take it on a leash walk at a regular park. |
